What is is the CCW?
CCW stands for the Community of Catholic Women at St. Peter the Apostle Parish in Naples, Florida.
Do you have to be Catholic to join?
Yes, it is the Community of Catholic Women. If you are considering becoming a Catholic, you are welcome to join as you are studying the faith.
Do you have to be a member of St. Peter The Apostle Parish to join?
Yes, this group is all about building community within our Parish. It's a way for members to get to know other parishioners.
When do you meet?
Our monthly meetings are held the First Friday of the month October through May. We begin with 8 AM Mass followed by the rosary and our general meeting. We serve a delicious breakfast at our meetings and offer social and spiritual events throughout the year.
I work and can't attend the meetings, can I still be a member?
Yes, you can support the CCW by attending our functions and volunteering when available.
If I am a member, do I have to volunteer to work at events?
All members are expected to volunteer and support the activities of the CCW. It takes the support of all members for the CCW to be successful. We have many opportunities for members with all sorts of skills.
Is there a fee to join?
The CCW collects annual dues of $20 per member.
How do I become a chairperson of an event?
We are always looking for people to help with our events! At our meetings we have volunteer sign up sheets. We usually form a committee to run a project and the President will ask someone to step up as chairperson. Reach out to Deb Brereton at 941-979-0771.
What happens to the funds raised by the CCW?
All funds raised by our group are used to support our Parish, St. Peter the Apostle and other groups including St. Vincent de Paul, Sunlight Home, Judy Sullivan Resource Center and Catholic Charities. Last year we supported the parish by donating almost $150,000.
