Activities
Members of the CCW can be involved in many different projects. We encourage all members to help. Some of our annual activities are:
Social Committee
Our brand-new Social Committee has been hard at work planning events throughout the year for all to enjoy. Please check Calendar and RSVP sections of the website frequently for updates and additional activities.
October/March - Spiritual Retreat
This is a new event for 2024/2025. The CCW is doing a series of retreats on the mysteries of the Rosary. In October we did the Joyous mysteries and in March we will tackle the Sorrowful mysteries. In addition we had our first Way of the Cross for Lent where we read a version that spoke about the stations from Mary's viewpoint.
October - Kick off of the 500 Club
500 Club - This is a raffle started by a CCW member during COVID when many activities had to stop. Money raised will be used to support the needs of St. Peter the Apostle Parish.
Join the club by purchasing a $100 annual ticket. The club is limited to 500 members. On the First Friday of each month, 3 winners are chosen for a cash award of
- $500.00
- $200.00
- $100.00.
You have 36 chances to win.
November - Holiday Bazaar
Our community of vendors come and fill our Spirit Center with a large variety of their crafts. We charge vendors a fee to participate. Our CCW volunteers help with the sweets table and kitchen and are available to help the vendors. We are always looking for workers and shoppers!
December - Tree of Life
Ornaments are sold as a remembrance of loved ones, living or deceased. Ornaments are placed on the Altar Christmas Trees as we decorate the church for Christmas. The loved ones are remembered during all the masses of the Christmas season. (Christmas Eve through the Feast of the Epiphany on January 8th). Ornaments may be purchased Thanksgiving to Christmas, with a Pre-Sale for 2 weeks. There is a need for people to sell these ornaments before and after Mass in November and December.
December - Christmas Luncheon
This is an annual event held at a local club where our ladies are given the chance to be served! It's a social event with delicious food and raffles. We also collect toys for St. Vincent dePaul Society. If you are interested in attending, you must register and purchase a ticket for this event.
December-March Car Raffle
This is something new for our group for 2025. The CCW will begin running the annual Car Raffle to benefit St. Peter's. More information will be coming but first prize is either a Car or $30,000 in cash. Tickets will be mailed to parishioners' homes to arrive in early January. The CCW will be selling tickets before and after weekend Masses and we'll need lots of volunteers to cover these spots.
January - April--Feed the Migrants
Each Thursday during Season, Fr. Willian says Mass at the 6L Farm which is part of our parish. The farm arranges visas for workers to come from Mexico and Central America to work our agriculture each year. After Mass each night, the team shares food with the workers and gets to know them. We have a sign up list and if you're interested in helping an email goes out each week with the menu and what is needed. You can sign up to cook once or every month. This is a great ministry for our seasonal folks as it is only for a limited time.
February - Second Time Around Sale
This is our largest fund raiser and it's a lot of fun. Many new members have spoken about working this event and meeting new friends! Parishioners donate gently used items on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. With the help of some of the men and youth of the parish, we unload cars, organize and price the items. Our workers sort and display clothes, knick-knacks, kitchenware, shoes, pocketbooks, jewelry, electronics and books. The sale is a one-day event on Saturday. There is a $10 bag sale for clothing and drastically reduced items on Sunday. On Monday, we clean up, donate what's left to other charities within Naples. This fundraiser takes many volunteers and is a lot of fun. This is the one event that you will see all CCW members either shopping or working. Please consider helping out during this very labor intensive project.
February - Craft Fair
This will take place February 25th and 26th, 2026. The CCW sponsors this event where an outside vendor organizes a Craft Fair in the front parking area.
March - Fashion Show
This is a very popular and lively social event that raises fun and funds for the CCW. This is a ticketed event, and tickets sell out fast. The Fashion Show is held in our Spirit Center, music and a catered luncheon are all part of the fun. You will marvel at the gorgeous clothes and delicious food. The CCW is always looking for help for this event from models, organizers and greeters.
April - Membership Tea
This is a social event for the members and a thank you for all their hard work all season. Like our Fashion Show this is a very popular event run by the Membership Committee and is a ticketed event. The Membership committee always comes up with a creative theme and there are lots of games and prizes. Our Membership Committee is always looking for help.
May - Crowning of Mary
We end our season with the First Friday in May with the Crowning of Mary. It's always a beautiful ceremony and many of our members participate from the planning of the event, to serving at the Mass, singing in the choir, to leading the Rosary and finally to Crowning Mary. It reminds us of days gone by when we did this in grammar school. After the crowning we have our final meeting that begins with a delicious breakfast.
Summer Season
For our year round members, we continue to attend First Friday Mass June-September and meet at various local restaurants for breakfast after the Mass. The crowds are smaller, and the conversation is always wonderful. All members are welcome although we do request RSVPs so we are sure we have enough seats.
Year Round--CCW Religious Store
This is our biggest source of funds. The store is open before and after the masses. This ministry is organized by Diane Baker. We are always looking for volunteers to help with our flexible schedule.
